This blog is offered as a forum within which events to promote and celebrate the Traditional Catholic Latin Liturgy can be organised in the North of England. The idea emerged during conversations at the 2010 Low Week Latin Mass Society training course at Ushaw College.

Assumption Solemn Mass

Plans for a solemn Mass at Holy Souls Scunthorpe at 3 pm on Sunday 15th August for the Assumption are faultering. We really need a subdeacon and a couple of servers otherwise we will have to reduce our ambitions to a Missa Cantata.

Regular Sunday Mass at St Catherine's



I am very happy to be able to say that starting on the Feast of the Assumption, 15th August at 11.30am, Holy Mass will be offered in the Traditional Form of the Roman Rite here at St Catherine's each Sunday. We will be starting quietly with Low Mass and see how things go.

For anyone travelling, our little church is on the outskirts of Leyland not far from junctions 28 & 29 of the M6.
